What is acceptable for this show? |
No greeting cards. No prints. General Guild Standards apply. Original art only (but you may bring a small number of original art pieces, matted and in cello wrappers). Copyright infringement is defined as the use of any material as source for, or incorporation into, a work of art for which the artist does not own the copyright or does not have written permission from the copyright holder to use. This means that reference material from TV, magazines, photos, artwork and so forth are not permissible in this definition of originality. |
Special Notes for this outdoor show |
.Bring plastic bags to protect your paintings if it rains. Space will be available in the Rose Room for Saturday night locked storage, only. Consider your own comfort and bring a chair/cushion, etc. .You need to bring your own WIRE easels and hanging materials to fit into the soil amongst the plantings. The Guild will not be providing easels. . It is imperative that you understand that we are non-paying guests in this garden. We are appreciative of the work and support of the staff and volunteers at Park and Tilford Gardens. . Be respectful of the plantings and furnishings in the Gardens. Clean up after yourself, and be sure that any garbage you see is picked up. |
Maximum number of entries | 8 paintings on easels (max) and spares. The Guild does not carry insurance on paintings and cannot be responsible for damage. You must be responsible for caring for your own work. |
Dimensions for entries | Your paintings must fit in your designated spot. Plan accordingly. |
Entry Fee |
$40.00 entry fee payable on registration. |
Cost of paintings/Tags | Prepare your own tags in a professional manner. Set your own prices. No minimum costs! We suggest you get your own SQUARE online or bring cash for making change as you handle your own sales. |
Commissions Applicable on sales | No commissions. The entry fee covers insurance, signage and printing costs. |
Intake time and dates |
Set up 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 (as soon as the gates are open, people will begin to walk amongst us as we set up- be aware of security issues) |
Show hours | Open at 10:30 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, NEW!! We will close on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. |
Your responsibilities as a volunteer |
If you participate in this show, it is expected that you will be there for the entire show - Saturday and Sunday. We need you to advertise the show via on-line media, word of mouth and signage. We also need volunteers to place signs and advertising around the city, blow up balloons, and be ready to help if a situation arises - we are a team! It is expected that you will clean up your area and assist in take down and disposal of balloons, signs, garbage, etc. |
Packup Time | 5:05 pm pack up Saturday and 4:05 p.m. on Sunday. Do not plan to leave early - make a commitment to share in this entire show. As this is an outdoor show without security, you will need to pack up your paintings Saturday at closing time, (they can be stored and locked in the Rose Room on-site), and set up again on Sunday. |
