About the Guild

The North Shore Artists' Guild was founded in 1947 as the West Van Sketch Club.  From humble beginnings, we have grown to approximately 300 members that live across the North Shore from Howe Sound to Deep Cove.

Our goal is to increase the interest and appreciation of original art in the form of paintings in our communities.  Our focus is to develop our member artists through demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions.

We have a strong focus on community - we paint for fun, we paint to build community and we make charitable donations to promote art outside of the NSAG.  Our vision is to have vibrant communities enriched through original art.

We produce a number of successful shows each year to present our paintings and to give our members an opportunity to sell their paintings.  We stage both in-person and virtual shows.  Please peruse some of our past shows by clicking on Galleries.

Take the time to watch this video about the history and essence of the NSAG. We are an impressive organization!
