| Artist Statement:
I am a Plien Air painter. I live on Bowen Island and walk the forest and coastal trails everyday.
All of my paintings are painted outside. My abstract interpretations are on site. A waterfall becomes a cascade of colour, a garden a bouquet of colour, the sea and sky a tumble.
Light and colour, the interpretation of the photograph, or the abstraction of a scene into the spectrum of light and colour, is and exciting departure for the exactness of photography.
I paint in oils, as oil give such a richness to colour and texture. |
