SHARON MASON - BIOGRAPHY

Sharon lives in North Vancouver, she is originally from Toronto moving west to Vancouver in 1969.  She started oil painting as a young adult and attended Ontario College of Art in 1968. Sharon continued her love of art in oils until 15 years ago, when she discovered the beauty of watercolor and mixed media.

In the travel industry for more than 30 years, her adventures traveling around the world have brought light, color and a unique vibrancy to her work. Sharon’s paintings flow from nature, interpretation of floral, still life and landscape.  She attributes inspiration to her teachers, Fred Schaefer, Sam Black, Donna Baspaly, Alessandra Bitelli, Don Farrel, Rick McDiarmid, Sue Northcott and Kiff Holland.

 

Sharon has had her works juried and displayed at the North Shore Arts Commission, Harmony Arts Festival, Ferry Building Gallery, Silk Purse Gallery, Park Royal and the Federation of Canadian Artists Gallery. Sharon is member of the North Shore Artists’ Guild since 1994, and has received Active Status from the Federation of Canadian Artists.  Much of her work is held in private collections.
