There is magic at every turn ! Inspired by my exposure to many coastal foggy days, its wild winds and high tides, miraculous sunrises and sunsets ... that early childhood love connection with nature stays with me. I paint to catch the magic of light, colour and shape amidst the beauty surrounding us everyday - be it a tiny berry or a collection of my husband’s pottery catching the light, sea grasses catching the wind, or dramatic shadows cascading down a mountain side. |
I was born in Powell River; our family’s property was right on Pebble Beach just south of the coastal town - how lucky to have grown up in such a wonderful environment ! Later, our family moved to Kelowna, B.C. where I graduated from Senior High. After winding my way through numbers of wonderful jobs, travels and a nursing career at VGH and BC Women’s, it's a joyful thing to now be devoting more time to painting. I live with my husband Tony - our family grew up in North Vancouver. I love living ‘under the mountains’ on the North Shore - the air is so fresh, it’s close to the ocean and to the green mountain forests. I am a member of the North Shore Artist's Guild and enjoy showing my work with this group of artists. My medium is generally watercolour. To contact me please email: |
