Linda Ramsden

"Marco Island Seagull" by Linda Ramsden

Following a 20 year career, facilitating other people's learning in the arts, Linda Ramsden is now devoting her time to her own painting as a full time artist.  Obtaining a B. Ed (UBC) with an art major gave Linda strong foundations upon which to build her career and share what she learned along the way.  Linda's paintings convey the emotional connections that initially draw her to her subjects.  Linda has served on the Board of the North Shore Artists' Guild and is an active commnity volunteer.

Artist's Statement:

Art has always been a part of my life.  After many years sharing my knowledge and love of art, I am now able to dedicate more time to my passion for paint and colour.  My undeniable urge to paint gives way to occasional forays back into the world of fibre arts and a constant desire to keep learning.  I have had the privilege of learning and being influenced by many great artists in British Columbia, Hawaii, Arizona and Oregon.  I will continue to be a lifelong learner as well as an artist and teacher.
