My landscapes are inspired by the beauty of Canada's West Coast and immense Prairies. I have always had a deep connection with nature in its varied forms--color, light and design--and a desire to express myself and tell stories with paint.

Sometimes I see something I want to capture, think about it then draw and design it before I begin painting. Other times I start applying paint to canvas right away. In both cases my favourite part of the painting process is when the painting itself starts guiding me.

In the Spring of 2016 I was honoured to have a Solo Show at the Castlegar Public Gallery.

The show was currated by Jane Ritchie and designed as a survey of my works over the past ten years.
