The city of Vancouver is now setting up some iconic pianos in public areas. I happened to catch sight of a homeless musician playing in downtown and the scene is so touching and I decided to create this piece to freeze the moment in time. He is after all somebody's son living out in the street. I entered this piece in the 1st IWS Hong Kong Biennale 2016 and was accepted into the exhibition from Oct 13-16. It is quite an honor to be one of the two Canadian artists to be accepted into this show.
Notes:
This painting was juried into the 1st International Watercolour exhibition in Hong Kong in 2016.
