"Sontula" by Tessa JohnstonBorn in the U.K. Tess trained in London England as an Occupational and Art Therapist. After emigrating to Vancouver she obtained a degree from UBC and worked as an Occupational Therapist while raising her four children . She lives on the North Shore and has been painting extensively for the last few years while taking classes at Emily Carr  and from many well-known Vancouver artists.

Presently Tess is excited to be revamping her website and hopes to have a new Gallery online in shortly This will feature recent paintings including her "Paintings for Small Spaces" and paintings of the North Shore as well as series of Nurse trees originally logged by hand on Gambier Island

Her work has been shown at the Federation  of Canadian Artists Gallery; The Shanghai International Art Show;Ferry Building Gallery;Silk Purse Gallery and North Vancouver Community Gallery.Also in the Spring and fall shows of the North Shore Artist Guild at Parkgate, The Pipe shop and West Vancouver  Community Centre
