Another magnificent old veteran ponderosa standing on the shores of the Okanagan lake. Its thick bark was a challenge to draw. I had a choice to make: was this about the bark colours or the crack underneath the scale? I chose to highlight the old bark scale and give a hint on what was underneath (secrets). The work comes complete with a custom cut mat and complementary metal frame (24x18"), which beautifully sets this work apart.
