While my early paintings and commissions were primarily in oils, the detailed nature of a career in industrial accounting   and the subtler beauty achievable, have led me to enjoying the challenges and rewards of water colour as a medium. In   my floral and landscape studies, it allows me to achieve the contrasts of softness and harshness, together with the grace and vibrancy of nature, which is all around us in North Vancouver and in our travels.

A native Vancouverite, I studied with the late Doreen Borland for some years before taking classes with Teressa   Bernard and now Homa Eftekhar, as well as attending workshops/seminars by master water colourists such as Carl Forsythe and Cliff Holland. During the 1980s, I was the director of The Drawbridge Artists Society, which displayed paintings of its members for sale and rent in businesses in Vancouver. My commissioned works can be found in rooms in Vancouver, Toronto, San Francisco and New Zealand.
