My art is divided into 2 galleries. I am a painter and a printmaker. Please visit both the painting and original print galleries.
Because of my science background, I like to experiment with many methods and materials in painting and printmaking. When painting, I most often start with a watercolor that often ends up as mixed media. In printmaking, I may print a monotype (one of a kind) before working with metal (zinc or copper). The complexity of etching, aquatint, and viscosity printing on metal challenges my artistic and technical abilities as I attempt to achieve a painterly print with an appealing combination of line and color. The varied edition (VE) enables me to focus on color. Hand coloring may be added to the print, usually as a translucent dusting of pastel which enables the etching and aquatints to remain visible.
Some Prints are available in Dundarave Print Workshop, Granville Island, Vancouver, B.C
Some Prints and works on paper are available at the Federation of Canadian Artists, Granville Island, Vancouver, B.C.
