Ursula Allen has been a member of the North Shore Artist's Guild (formerly The West Vancouver
Sketch Club) and The Federation of Canadian Artists, for many years. She has exhibited her work in Victoria and juried exhibitions of The North Shore Artist's Guild (formerly The West Vancouver Sketch Club), The Federation of Canadian Artists, and group shows in The Ambleside Ferry Building, The Silk Purse and The West Vancouver Library and other venues.
Ursula's paintings reflect her love for the scenery of the Pacific Northwest, a love which was first nurtured in Victoria, and has since become the theme for many of her watercolours.
She also experiments with a variety of media including acrylics,collage, pastels and mixed media.These have greatly expanded the scope of her imagination and provided the opportunity to exploit spontaneous effects.
Ursula's works range from the representational to the innovative in which the originality of colour predominates.
