"Sontula" by Tessa JohnstonBorn in the U.K. Tess trained in London England as an Occupational and Art Therapist. After emigrating to Vancouver she obtained a degree from UBC and worked as an Occupational Therapist while raising her four children . She lives on the North Shore and has been painting extensively for the last few years while taking classes at Emily Carr  and from many well-known Vancouver artists.

Presently Tess is excited to be revamping her website and hopes to have a new Gallery online in the New Year. This will feature recent paintings including her paintings in a 12x24" format "Paintings for Small Spaces" and Still Life that explore her love of colour and texture.

Her work has been shown at the Federation  of Canadian Artists Gallery; The Shanghai International Art Show;Ferry Building Gallery;Silk Purse Gallery and North Vancouver Community Gallery.Also in the Spring and fall shows of the North Shore Artist Guild at Parkgate and West Vancouver  Community Centres.
