Jennifer Tunner
Jennifer paints in oils and in acrylics. Subjects include landscapes, still-life and portraits.
Her painting originated during the abstract expressionism of the 60's, moved through a series of academic courses which followed the traditional methods of the Old Masters (which she studied at McGill University, The Vancouver Academy of Art, and Langara College) arriving at her current style, which leans toward contemporary realism.
She has exhibited with Cityscape Art Gallery, The Seymour Art Gallery, The Silk Purse Gallery, The Ferry Building Gallery, The West Vancouver Memorial Library, Harmony Arts Festival and with The North Shore Artists Guild in a variety of venues.
Awards include: Three Jurors' Choice Awards and three Honorable Mention Awards from The North Shore Artists Guild, a People's Choice Award from the Silk Purse Arts Centre 2007 Show and a People's Choice award from the 2009 NSAG Spring Show at the West Vancouver Community Centre.
Tunner's work can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada.
She became an Active Member of The Federation of Canadian Artists in 2004 is also a current and actively participating member of the North Shore Artists Guild.
