Biography

BIOGRAPHY

Jean is inspired just by painting.  She develops her imagery from nature; trees, landscapes, and flowers.  The driving force of her paintings is color.  Her watercolors are pastels, but the oil and acrylic paintings are punched up with bold reds, vibrant blues and lush greens.  The finished painting is a visual treat.

Jean was born in Vancouver, and now lives in Norht Vancouver.  She started painting 25 years ago and then for the past twenty years turned her attention to pottery and has been teaching and doing the technical work at the West Van Community Centre.  Working with clay and the wonderful colors that glazes produce have brought her back to her painting.
