BIOGRAPHY

Spacer             DAPHNE MCLEAN



Throughout her career in individual and family counselling, and later as a licensed realtor, Daphne McLean explored painting as a further means of self-expression and as a form of meditation. In 1990, following a 3-week painting holiday in France, her life long interest in art was transformed into a passionate pursuit--- and her third career began.

1991 Joined the West Vancouver Sketch Club attending many workshops and participating in most of their juried shows.
1993-94 Two art courses with Stephen Quiller.
1994 Became an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists
1994-97 Successfully completed the F.C.A. Alan Edwards School of Art courses.

2003 Art Students League of New York. Worked in abstract under instructors: Peter Golfinopoulos, Christine Jordan, Ronnie Landfield, Knox Martin, and Frank O'Cain. An amazing and soul satisfying experience!
