Cathy Roddie is a prolific artist who prefers plein air work, or just painting outside in summer and studio painting in Winter. Born in England she married a Canadian and moved to Canada in 1964. Cathy can be regularly found at Painters Landing in West Vancouver. Her paintings now hang in several countries around the world. Cathy is self taught and she choses her pallet according to the place, time of year and weather as you can see from the difference in the two pieces shown above. Her joy is to meet the people who buy her work and tell the story of why it means so much to them. Painting at Ambleside is the biggest and best studio in the world.
