CAROLYN N COLE

"Still Morning" by Carolyn Cole After graduating from The Vancouver School of Art ( now Emily Carr School of Art ), Carolyn was an art teacher in her home town of Victoria before marrying and raising a family on the North Shore. She now paints mainly in oil but has worked in water colour, pastel, and Chinese ink on rice paper. Many of her paintings have been inspired by her summers at Shawnigan Lake and visits to Northern Ontario. Capturing the changing light of sea, land and sky, and " people watching " are her favourite subjects. She has shown her work in many venues since 1974. Her paintings are to be found in Canada and the United States.
