Notes:
My wife was born in Levis, a small town across the river from Quebec City. We've both visited the Ile d'Orlean several times. This painting was her favourite, and it sold the first time she agreed to let it out of her sight. To describe her feelings as "ambivalent" would be an understatement. I've had to promise to replace it with another Quebcois subject.
