| Monthly Demonstrations | Each meeting we have a different guest artist conduct a demonstration to inspire, instruct and expose members to a variety of materials, techniques and approaches. (See below for meeting times and location). Meetings are also an opportunity for you to meet other fellow artists from across the North Shore. |
| Workshops | Every year we host seven or eight workshops led by guest artists and professional teachers which are open to both members and non-members. To see the current list of workshops and to register, CLICK HERE or use the Workshops item on the menu. These are held at the Klee Wyck Artists Centre at 200 Keith Road E in West Vancouver. CLICK HERE for a map. |
| Painting Groups | We currently have a Wednesday painting group at Klee Wyck each week from September to June. The pre-scheduled nature of the sessions gets people painting regularly and the fellowship and feedback from one's peers is very valuable to the attendees. You can join these sessions at any time. |
| Jurying | We normally have jury sessions each year in the spring and fall. These are a valuable and anonymous way for artists to get feedback on their progress. Paintings selected in these jury sessions are then eligible for entry in upcoming juried shows. Three paintings may be submitted to each jury session. |
| Shows | The Guild has a major one day spring show of some 500 works at the new West Vancouver Community Centre, and one of some 700 works at the Parkgate Community Centre in North Vancouver - our Annual Fine Arts Sale in December We also participate in the ten day Harmony Arts Festival on the WV waterfront each August. Every third year we have a two week show at the Ferry Building Gallery, and every second year at the Silk Purse Gallery and the West Vancouver Memorial Library. All of our shows are publicized extensively and their success in terms of attendance and sales for our mermbers has been excellent. |
| On-line Shows | Shows from the recent past are available for public viewing here on our website. If you missed one of our shows or want to see some of our past shows, just click on the Shows item on the menu or CLICK HERE. |
| Artist Websites | This website is powered by unique software that also allows members with only modest conputer skills to create and update their own personal artist website, easily and at a very reasonable cost. Members can not only display some of their work on the website but also store any number of images and descriptions in an inventory or archive for their own use. They can also have a set of contacts in the system and have a means of easily notifying them about upcoming events and news. |
