Biography

"" by Barbara OhlBarbara Ohl grew up in Coquitlam BC and graduated from Centennial High School with honors in Fine Arts and a scholarship from the Coquitlam Arts Council. Inspired by her Art teacher, Micheal Minot, Barbara attended Langara College in Vancouver where she earned a Diploma in Fine Arts. She went on to work as a layout artist, printer and graphic artist. In 1982, she moved to the North Shore, where she raised 3 children while working as a Realtor. Always drawn back to the arts, Barbara developed an interest in silkscreening, printmaking and photography. She enjoys working in watercolour, pen and ink and is very passionate about genealogy, history, and travel. After joining the North Shore Artists Guild in May of 2005, she began also working in acrylics. Currently, Barbara is a Realtor for Macdonald Realty Ltd, teaches watercolour classes at the Silver Harbour Centre in North Vancouver, and was recently "Prey" on the Canadian Reality  show Mantracker.
