Alannah Haynes
Alannah's love of nature and colour shows in her paintings, which cover a variety of topics.
After painting in oils for many years, she switched to acrylics in 2003. The paintings she submitted in the first juried show she entered in 2004 were all accepted, and one of them received an Honourable Mention. In June 2006 she submitted two paintings for jurying, one of which received the Jurors' Choice award, and the other an Honourable Mention.
In 2009 she published her 2010 Stanley Park calendar, which was exceptionally well received, and which opened several new doors for her work.
Originally from the U.K, she now resides in Edgemont Village in North Vancouver.
She has taken classes and workshops with people such as Robert Bateman, Robert Genn and James Picard, which have been a great source of inspiration for her.
