North Shore Artists' Guild

About the Guild and Membership

AFAS Scene 2008The Guild was founded in 1947 as the West Vancouver Sketch Club.  It's goal was and continues to be to increase the interest and appreciation of art in our  communities through serving visual artists.   We currently have approximately 220 members from all accross the North Shore, from Howe Sound to West Vancouver, North Vancouver and Deep Cove, who work in a variety of mediums.

Our focus is on developing our member artists through demonstrations, courses, workshops and other programs.   We also stage a number of shows and sales  to present our art to the communities in which we live and work.   Our calendar includes the following scheduled events:

    • Spring Show -  a one day event in May or June showing some 500 juried paintings at the new West Vancouver Community Centre
